Description
Few bicycles have influenced the scene as much as the Colnago Super. At a time when racing bicycles were averagely heavy with long wheelbases and flat angles, Ernesto Colnago released a bicycle which would become a legend of cycling history and the top model of his 1970s catalogue - the Super.
Made of Columbus SL steel tubes - with a shorter, stiffer and lighter frame - the Colnago Super was designed for high-performance. Since its launch, most racing bicycles have been built with a geometry inspired by the Super.
This Colnago Super dates back to the year 1970. It still has its original paintjob which is in a nice condition. The bike is equipped with the best groupset Campagnolo had to offer. To be precise, it has a Campagnolo Record groupset. The classic combination of the Super with Campagnolo components is vastly sought after for its appeal as well as its riding characteristics. Since Campagnolo brakes were officially introduced to the market just in 1970, when our bike was built, it is still equipped with the race-proven powerful Universal Extra 68 calipers and levers.
Early Colnago bikes with original paint are not that easy to find, especially not in very small sizes, consequently this adds to the bike's exceptionality
This Colnago Super is a great choice for vintage bike lovers. Thoroughly checked and ready for any classic cycling event. Eroica, here you go.
