Description
Few bicycles have influenced the scene as much as the Colnago Super. At a time when racing bicycles were heavy with long wheelbases, Ernesto Colnago released a bicycle which would become a legend of cycling history and the top model of his 1970s catalogue - the Super.
Made of Columbus SL steel tubes - with a shorter, stiffer and lighter frame - the Colnago Super was designed for high-performance. Since its launch, most racing bicycles have been built with a geometry inspired by the Super.
This Colnago Super dates back to the 1970s, with some sweet pantographed parts. The components are all Campagnolo Nuovo Record, one of the best groupsets of its time. The classic combination of the Super and Campagnolo components is vastly sought after. As is the special Eddy-Merckx edition which Ernesto Colnago made. Obiously this is why the previous owner decided to give this Super a new orange paintjob and the iconic blue Merckx decals
This Colnago Super is a great choice for vintage bike fans. Suitable for classic cycling events.
