Description

Few bicycles have influenced the scene as much as the Colnago Super. At a time when racing bicycles were comparably heavy with long wheelbases and flat angles, Ernesto Colnago released a bicycle which would become a legend of cycling history and the top model of his 1970s catalogue - the Super.

Made of Columbus SL steel tubes - with a shorter, stiffer and lighter frame - the Colnago Super was designed for high-performance.
Since its launch, uncountable racing bicycles have been built with a geometry inspired by the Super.

It was, of course, very helpful for the success of this model that Colnago built the bikes for the successful Team Molteni and their young star Eddy Merckx. The rider proved the class of the bike and vice versa.

This Colnago Super stems from the year 1973. Featuring its original paint, it glows in the vibrant orange which had also been used for the Molteni bikes.

The components are a real treat here. The bike is fully equipped with a period correct Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset, including some nicely milled brake levers. Our Super comes in a rather unusual size for a Colnago of these years and thus is a real catch if you are looking for a slightly larger bike from this period.

Checked in our workshop in Berlin, the Super is ready to go.

Suitable for classic cycling events as well.
