Description
Few bicycles have influenced the scene as much as the Colnago Super. At a time when racing bicycles were heavy with long wheelbases, Ernesto Colnago released a bicycle which would become a legend of cycling history and the top model of his 1970s catalogue - the Super.
Made of Columbus SL steel tubes - with a shorter, stiffer and lighter frame - the Colnago Super was designed for high-performance. Since its launch, most racing bicycles have been built with a geometry inspired by the Super.
Being the model from 1974, this Colnago Super is one of the earlier versions. It is also in original condition with the paintjob, decals and aslo the parts still in nice condition, which is very rare nowadays indeed. Aparts from some details, it is in the same setup as if it would leave the factory in Cambiago back then.
That includes the Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset (1973 issue), Cinelli Cockpit, Nisi rims, Colnago leather saddle and of course the typical Colnago pantographes. Even the matchin yellow Silca pump is included.
This is great chance to get hold of one of the original early Supers, so well praised by the collectors.
