Description
Few bicycles have influenced the sports cycling scene as much as the Colnago Super. At a time when racing bicycles were averagely heavy with long wheelbases and flat angles, Ernesto Colnago released a frameset which would become a legend of cycling history and one of the top models of his 1970s and 1980s catalogues - the Super.
Made of Columbus SL steel tubes, with a shorter, stiffer and lighter frame, the Colnago Super was designed for high-performance. Since the launch, uncountable racing bicycles have been built with a geometry inspired by the Super.
Here we present you a Colnago Super and let's cut to the chase it's simply stunning. It's a overwhelming heap of lavishness, that it's quite hard to pick something to start with. And as you can see, the overwhelming theme here is nothing less than gold.
The whole frame has been plated with 24k gold. The result is breathtaking. And then there is the equipment. The Campagnolo Super Record gruppo has been also gold plated and almost no part has been left unattended. Even the 28 hole Nisi rims shine because of the thin layer of the precious metal.
But it doesn't end there. The parts have been also pantographed, making this whole combination as opulent as it gets.
It's also fully checked and serviced in our workshop. Mouthwatering this bike is, it's still a very good ride and if you would fancy a very glamorous set of wheels, it's perfectly capable of any trip or even classic cycling event.
