Description
Few bicycles have influenced the scene as much as the Colnago Super. At a time when racing bicycles were heavy with long wheelbases and flat angles, Ernesto Colnago released a bicycle which would become a legend of cycling history and the top model of his 1970s catalogue - the Super.
Made of Columbus SL steel tubes - with a shorter, stiffer and lighter frame - the Colnago Super was designed for high-performance. Since its launch, uncountable racing bicycles have been built with a geometry inspired by the Super.
This Pantographed Colnago Super stems from the year 1978. It shows some of the fine engraved parts, for which Colnago became famous. The bike is equipped with the best groupset Campagnolo had to offer. To be precise, it is the Campagnolo Super Record groupset. The classic combination of the Super with Campagnolo components is vastly sought after for its appeal as well as its riding characteristics.
This Colnago Super is a great choice for vintage bike lovers. It has been checked in our workshop and is ready to go! With its set of clincher wheels and a cassette that offers a 28t cog, it is a perfect choice for cycling events like L'Eroica.
