Description
Few bicycles have influenced the sports cycling scene as much as the Colnago Super. At a time when racing bicycles were averagely heavy with long wheelbases and flat angles, Ernesto Colnago released a bicycle which would become a legend of cycling history and one of the top models of his 1970s and 1980s catalogues - the Super.
Made of Columbus SL steel tubes - or Columbus SP for taller riders - with a shorter, stiffer and lighter frame, the Colnago Super was designed for high-performance.
Since its launch, uncountable racing bicycles have been built with a geometry inspired by the Super.
This Colnago Super stems from the early 1980s. It shows some of the fine engraved logos, for which Colnago became famous.
The frame has been professionally refurbished by painter who worked for Colnago. Thus the condition is excellent.
The bike is equipped with one of the best groupsets Campagnolo had to offer. To be precise, it is the Campagnolo Nuovo Recordgroupset. The classic combination of the Super with Campagnolo components is vastly sought after for its appeal as well as its riding characteristics.
This Colnago Super is a great choice for vintage bike lovers. It has been thoroughly built, checked and lubed in our workshop and is ready to go!
