Description
Few bicycles have influenced the cycling scene as much as the Colnago Super. At a time when racing bicycles were averagely heavy, with long wheelbases and flat angles, Ernesto Colnago released a frameset which would become a legend of cycling history and one of the top models of his 1970s and 1980s catalogues – the Super.
Made of Columbus SL steel tubes, with a shorter, stiffer and lighter frame, the Colnago Super was designed for high-performance. Since the launch, uncountable racing bicycles have been built with a geometry inspired by the Super.
This particular Colnago Super Road Bike comes from the year 1980 and is in surprisingly good condition. It still sports its original blue paintjob, which passed the test of these 40 years with flying colors. Such a well preserved paintjob is rare nowadays and tells a lot of how well this bike has been treated over the decades.
This bike is fitted with a complete Campagnolo Record groupset and other fine parts like 3ttt cockpit or Concor saddle. But what stands out even more are the pantographed parts which include the stem, the seatpost, the brake levers and the chainset!
A Super with original paintjob, a load of pantographs and in great shape with Campagnolo Super Record on top - what's not to like?
