Description

Few bicycles have influenced the scene as much as the Colnago Super. At a time when racing bicycles were comparably heavy with long wheelbases and flat angles, Ernesto Colnago released a bicycle which would become a legend of cycling history and the top model of his 1970s catalogue - the Super. Made of Columbus SL steel tubes - with a shorter, stiffer and lighter frame - the Colnago Super was designed for high-performance.
Since its launch, uncountable racing bicycles have been built with a geometry inspired by this model. It was a bike that was ridden to countless victories by legendary champions such as Eddy Merckx, Freddy Maertens and Giuseppe Saronni. The latter of which also happens to be the former owner of this bike!

This Colnago Super stems from the year 1975, featuring some beautiful details like the chromed fork crown. Its paintjob has been refurbished several years ago and therefore is still in good overall condition.
The bike is equipped with some of the finer groupsets Campagnolo had to offer. To be precise, it sports a Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset. And then there are some little touches like the pantographed stem, seatpost, brake levers and chainring.
On top it comes with a signature of the man himself! Saronni signed the top tube's left side for you.
