Description
Few bicycles have influenced the cycling scene as much as the Colnago Super. At a time when racing bicycles were averagely heavy, with long wheelbases and flat angles, Ernesto Colnago released a frameset which would become a legend of cycling history and one of the top models of his 1970s and 1980s catalogues – the Super.
Made of Columbus SL steel tubes, with a shorter, stiffer and lighter frame, the Colnago Super was designed for high-performance. Since the launch, uncountable racing bicycles have been built with a geometry inspired by the Super.
This particular Colnago Super Road Bike stems from the early 1980s and what makes it really special is the condition. It still sports the original Saronni red paintjob, which passed the test of these 40 years with flying colors. Such a well preserved paintjob is rare nowadays and it makes it very desirable for collectors indeed.
This bike is fitted with a complete Campagnolo Super Record groupset and other fine parts like 3ttt cockpit, Rolls saddle or the Veloflex Master clincher tires.
A Super with original Saronni paintjob in great shape with Campagnolo Super Record on top - what's not to like?
