Description
Few bicycles have influenced the cycling scene as much as the Colnago Super. At a time when racing bicycles were averagely heavy, with long wheelbases and flat angles, Ernesto Colnago released a frameset which would become a legend of cycling history and one of the top models of his 1970s and 1980s catalogues – the Super.
Made of Columbus SL steel tubes, with a shorter, stiffer and lighter frame, the Colnago Super was designed for high-performance. Since the launch, uncountable racing bicycles have been built with a geometry inspired by the Super.
This particular Colnago Super dates back to the end of 1970s. It has been refurbished in the past and slightly modified as well. Instead of the customary two brake cable bosses on the top tube, the cable is routed inside of the tube. The paintjob is nicely done with classic 'retinato' pattern.
Regarding the components, this bike is fitted with a complete Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset, 3ttt cockpit with pantographed stem, Mavic rims and a brand new Supercorsa a saddle.
A very pretty bicycle for smaller riders.
