Description
Specifically designed for advanced riders, the Colnago Tecnos was a significant development in steel bike manufacturing for its lightness. Thanks to Columbus Nivacrome steel tubes with very typical crimped sections, this Colnago frame was in its day one of the lightest steel frame to leave the factory in Cavenago.
Adding to its stiffness was the 'blown-up' crimped section of the top and down tube. A distinctive cigar shape of the main tubes was the result, a feature known from British Cantiflex tubing before.
Being a Colnago, this bicycle is of course a heap of refined details such as 3-pointed chromed lugs or special rear dropouts with integrated cable guide. As for the components, you will find Shimano Dura-Ace groupset, but this bike has been significantly upgraded with some lightweight cabon parts. First it is the Columbus Minimal full carbon fork, which is a very popular classic-bike-tuning part for its elegant look, lightness and 1" steerer column availability. The bars have been upgraded by the Syntace Racelight 2 cabon ones and the seatpost is made of the same material and made by 3t.
If you are looking for a road bike for serious riding without renouncing the classic style, this Colnago Tecnos is definitely for you.
