Description
Specifically designed for advanced riders, the Colnago Tecnos was a significant development in steel bike manufacturing for its lightness. Thanks to Columbus Nivacrome steel tubes with very typical crimped sections, this Colnago frame was in its day the lightest steel frame to leave the factory in Cavenago.
Adding to its stiffness was the 'blown-up' crimped section of the top and down tube. A distinctive cigar shape of the main tubes was the result, a feature known from British Cantiflex tubing before.
Being a Colnago, this bicycle is of course a heap of refined details such as chromed lugs, rear stays, Precisa fork and small pantographs.
The paint on this frame is very nice and shows perfectly the famous Art Decor paintwork by Colnago.
As for the parts, the Bike was set up with a complete and excellently working modern Campagnolo Chorus 10-Speed groupset. And if this wasn't enough, a legendary Chris King headset represents the icing on the cake.
This results in a bike which lives up to its flamboyant looks. It's lightweight, agile, nimble and the excellent shifting performance of the modern Groupset completes the package. All this makes it a true Italian dream bike for Colnago fans and cycling enthusiasts which appreciate the combination of a flamboyant Italian steel frame with modern shifting performance.
