Description
Specifically designed for advanced riders, the Colnago Tecnos was a significant development in steel bike manufacturing for its lightness. Thanks to Columbus Nivacrome steel tubes with very typical crimped sections, this Colnago frame was in its day one of the lightest steel frame to leave the factory in Cavenago.
Adding to its stiffness was the 'blown-up' crimped section of the top and down tube. A distinctive cigar shape of the main tubes was the result, a feature known from British Cantiflex tubing before.
Being a Colnago, this bicycle sports of course a heap of refined details such as special chromed lugs and chromed rear stays. The fork is Colnago's straight Precisa which has proven its reliability in the tough spring classics of Flanders. Components are formed by a Campagnolo Veloce 9-Speed groupset.
A bike which could be used every day or on special occasions.
