Description
Specifically designed for advanced riders, the Colnago Tecnos was a significant development in steel bike manufacturing for its lightness. Thanks to Columbus Nivacrome steel tubes with very typical crimped sections, this Colnago frame was in its day one of the lightest steel frame to leave the factory in Cavenago.
Adding to its stiffness was the 'blown-up' crimped section of the top and down tube. A distinctive cigar shape of the main tubes was the result, a feature known from British Cantiflex tubing before.
Being a Colnago, this bicycle is of course a heap of refined details such as special lugs, reinforced rear stays, and prolonged seat- and headtube. The fork is a Pro carbon fiber one and the components are mostly formed by Campagnolo's then new Daytona group.
A triple chainset means that this bike could also be used in hilly terrain or on longer rides.
