Description
The Colnago V2-r was developed to be a lightweight option within the range of Colnago's racing bicycles.
As their top-of-the-line carbon monocoque frame it was an improvement over the very lightweight indeed V1-r.
The frame combines comfortable elasticity with a stiffer bottom bracket and headtube area to enhance power transfer. By sacrificing a couple of grams, these changes ensured that the bike does not only climb like a mountain goat but is also extremely easy to control on descends. The brakes offer full control and a perfect response to the fingers. It comes with direct-mount brake calipers which offer enough clearance to easily run 28mm wide tires if need be.
Though not being a thoroughbred aero bike, the shapes of this beast allow for wind cheating gains as well. When this bike hit the market it was immediately recognized to be one of the super bikes. While being painfully expensive, it offers just that extra bit of performance every rider is looking for.
This specific exemplar was used by the Pro Team Rusvelo-Gazprom and thus has not seen too many miles or harsh conditions.
It is equipped with a Campagnolo Record EPS electronic shifting groupset and Fulcrum Zero wheels.
If you are looking for Pro-Level performance at a fraction of the expected price, this bike is just what you need!
The total weight is 7.1kg. The size is 54s (sloping geometry which equals 58,2cm in classic geometry).
