Description
It is always exciting to come across an unused bike. So we are happy to present this Colombo Special Corsa NOS Road Bike from 1977.
It has not been ridden and was just stored away. Consequently the only signs of ageing on it are due to wear by storing and environmental conditions.
In its time it was a rear high class racing bike, equipped with one of the best groupsets on the market. The Shimano Dura Ace of the first generation is fully complete on this bike, including the usual SR seatpost and the Kyokuto pedals.
Other parts are also excellent choices such as the Cinelli combination with a pantographed stem and a handlebar which is wrapped in Almarc leather.
The frame itself is nice, too. Finely thinned out lugs and chromed stays show the extra effort that went into making this Columbus SL based structure.
And the paint is a real highlight as well. The rare flat black paintjob is plain beautiful and gives the bike a stealthy look.
A bike like this would make for an exciting Eroica steed or a great weekend cycling experience. Who else has the chance to be the first rider of a late 1970s road bike nowadays?
If you think it is to beautiful to be broken in, then it would also be perfect to continue its life as a piece of wall art.
Completely checked for its functionality. Mount it and go!
