Description
Established in 1923 Motobécane was one of the most famous French manufacturer of bicycles, mopeds, motorcycles, and other small vehicles. "Motobécane" is a compound of "moto", slang for motorcycle; "bécane" is slang for "bike."
They became more known to an international public by their sponsoring of professional teams and winning the Tour de France with their typical orange machines.
This sturdy and reliable Motobecane BC12 stems from the "Diffusion" range. It's frame is made of Motobecane in-house 2040 steel tubes, which are connected partly by lugs and partly by internal welding. As por the parts, you will find French Huret, Atax, Nervar or Rigida parts. A mix which serves the main purpouse of this bike - daily rides with great reliability.
It is painted in a light green with orange decals and cable housing - an unmistakable style of a proper late 70s / early 80s French road bike.
