Description
Established in 1923 Motobécane was one of the most famous French manufacturer of bicycles, mopeds, motorcycles, and other small vehicles. "Motobécane" is a compound of "moto", slang for motorcycle; "bécane" is slang for "bike."
They became more known to an international public by their sponsoring of professional teams and winning the Tour de France with their typical orange and later blue machines.
This sturdy and reliable Motobecane C4C dates back to the 1970s and is in great condition. Thoroughly checked by our mechanics, the bike is fitted with high class parts, including a Huret Success titanium derailleur or the extra smoothly running Pelissier hubs.
The frame itself was a newcomer of the Motobecane-catalogue in 1978 and unlike all other frames was built using Columbus tubes. Altogether the bike was meant to save some weight over other models.
Either to take part in Eroica events, to hit the daily bike path or to cycle to the next café, this Motobecane is a reliable choice. Without renouncing a vintage style!
