Cycles Burdet Classic Road Bicycle 1980s

Cycles Burdet is a traditional cycling shop in the High Jura, a French part of the Alps. In its area it has been playing the role of a go-to point for cyclists for many years. So like many other proud bike shops they decided to feature their own shop brand. And with St.Étienne - the French cradle of bicycle manufacturing - not too far away, they had an excellent range of products to choose from.

As can be seen with our Burdet classic road bicycle from the 1980s, they made excellent choices. With a closer look, this elegant or even discreet bike will show its true quality. The frame is made with a lot of skill out of light steel tubes, probably made by Vitus. It shows some refined details like the routing of the rear braking cable inside a crimping of the top tube.

But our Burdet is slightly more special than that. It is equipped with some very nice and sought after components from Mavic, like the SSC derailleur, brakes, brake levers and off course the silky smooth hubs laced with Mavic GP4 rims. The bicycle has been completely checked and when neccesary, parts have been changed. A stylish and very well equipped French bicycle which will be perfect for any upcoming classic cycle event.
