Gitane – a name which means 'Gypsy Lady' in French – is a brand which was synonymous with French bicycle racing from the 1960s through the mid-1980s, sponsoring riders such as Jacques Anquetil, Lucien Van Impe, Bernard Hinault (1975–1983), Laurent Fignon, and Greg LeMond
Gitane not only produced high-end racing bikes but also reliable and stable city bicycles with a very solid reputation amongst commuters. This particular Gitane Mixte is exactly such a ladies vintage bicycle with a very elegant retro style. With a mix of quality French parts, it could be on duty every day in the week. Fitted with two stainless steel fenders, rack, lights and a variety of gears, this Gitane is a reliable companion without renouncing an undeniable vintage style.
