Description
Daccordi is a traditional Italian Bicycle manufacture. They went into business in 1937 and are still building bikes today.
In the humble beginnings the production was mainly everyday vehicles but later, after the second world war, they started to invest more energy in the construction of sports bikes.
Then, from 1981 on, they entered the market for top notch racing frames with stunning products and designs. Their creations belong to most beautiful and advanced steel bikes of the 1980s and 1990s.
And this exemplar is no exception.
The main structure is forme by high-end Columbus SLX tubes. The most popular choice for professional bikes in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Helical inner reinforcements were supposed to strengthen the main tubes whilst keeping them light.
The Daccordi Griffe became famous for its extraordinary 'gothic' headlugs and seatlug. And of course, there is what Daccordi called a 'multidimensional' bottom bracket shell. The Griffe was a headturner and became sort of Daccordi's signature bike for the late late 1980s and early 1990s.
The componentry consists of Campagnolo parts.
This bike with its first class frame, original paintjob and nice parts will certainly make its new owner very happy. It can cope with commuting, long tours or sportive group rides.
