Description

Dalpasso from Turin, Italy was a very small artisan frame builder. Many private persons, companies and prestigious shops ordered from the highly skilled artisans of Turin. And why wouldn't they? They were able to order frames from some of the best frame builders of the world. Turin was without doubt one of the cradles of the modern steel racing bike and home to many of the great masters of bicycle making.
Our Dalpasso Special Classic Road Bicycle 1974 is one of those top class pieces which left the torinese workshops. It shares some characteristics with the bikes of other famous frame builders. The bottom bracket shell is the one Pelà used, the pantographs and decals remind of Paratella's, the Olympic rings give the bike a touch of a Picchio.
The frame itself is made from Columbus SL tubing which are connected by beautifully filed lugs. The material the frame has been built with what was the best of its time. The lines are elegant, the decor simple and clean.
Such a bike deserves a great Campagnolo groupset. So we find a complete Campagnolo Nuovo Record on our Dalpasso.
A bike which offers what you could wish for in 1974 - and still breathtaking today.
