De Rosa Ariostea Team Bike Cenghialta 1988

The Italian Team Ariostea had its beginnings in the 1980s and subsequently rose to be one of the best professional teams in the late 1980s and the early 1990s.
Famous and successful riders were part this 'squadra' among them Rolf Sørensen, Moreno Argentin, Bjarne Riis, Pascal Richard or Bruno Cenghialta. The latter one is nowadays best known for his job as 'directeur sportif' a job in which he has managed extremely successful world tour teams.
But before that, he was a strong professional cyclist with good GC-results in both the Giro and the Tour (even a stage win there).
It was Bruno Cenghialta who rode our De Rosa Professional SLX in the year 1988.

Widely considered "The Master" Ugo De Rosa manufactured masterpieces which strongly influenced the cycling industry, just as the De Rosa Professional SLX.

The Professional SLX is one of the best bicycles which left the De Rosa factory in the 1980s. Manufactured with Columbus SLX steel tubes, a very light and stiff tubing with inner reinforcements, butted sections and reinforced chain stays, the Professional SLX really embodies the perfection and attention to details of the Milanese frame builder.

This De Rosa Professional SLX proudly sports a Team Ariostea colour schemeand is completely checked.
The original Campagnolo C-Record groupset is able to deliver the strong performances one can expect from this 80s pro-racing machine.

Small details like the team issue fork and the short name of the rider (CEN) under the bottom bracket are some extra proof to the pedigree of this machine.
A bike like this, certainly is a great catch for any fan of late 1980s cycling and a must have for serious collectors.
