Description
Ugo De Rosa – widely known as "The Master" – is one of the best frame builders of all time. Not only did he supply many champions with his high-end bicycles (Gianni Motta, Eddy Merckx and Francesco Moser, just to name a few) but also manufactured masterpieces which strongly influenced the cycling industry.
The Strada Super Record is based on the best frame from the De Rosa 1970s offer. And our piece is even more special, due to its original condition. The frame made of light Columbus SL tubes still sports the light blue factury paintjob which is well preserved. This top model illustrates the typical attention to detail of Mr. De Rosa's works, with lugs which have been nicely filed and are refined by beautiful heart-shaped cutouts and engravings. It also features rhombic "diamante" chain stays, typical for top frames made by Ugo De Rosa.
And when we have mentioned the original condition, we meant also the groupset - the Campagnolo Super Record parts stem from the production year 1978. It is then completed with nice Ambrosio rims, De Rosa pantographed stem or Cinelli Unicanitor suede leather saddle.
The finest bicycle made by one of the most iconic frame builders in very rare original condition. It doesn't get much better, really.
