Description
Ugo De Rosa is certainly one of the most influential frame builder of the 1970s and 1980s. He supplied many champions with his high-end bicycles like Gianni Motta, Eddy Merckx, Francesco Moser and many more. Ugo also manufactured masterpieces which strongly influenced the cycling industry, just as the De Rosa Professional.
The Professional is one of the legendary racing bike models. Made of Columbus SL and later SLX steel tubes, it was a perfect companion for many cyclists on their road to victory. Very distinctive are the beautifully shaped 'Diamante' chain stays, one of De Rosa's signature signs.
Our exemplar was made around 1983 as a show bike basically as a display piece. The frame received a classic blue paintjob, whilst as a groupset, the Campagnolo 50th anniversary was chosen. This probably most collectible groupset of all time has not really been put to a test. The bike is almost new.
For decades this De Rosa Professional has been just stored. Years, in which time was not able to harm it. Just the colour of its exclusive Cinelli VIP leather saddle and handlebar wrap faded.
The paint is still in great condition and the groupset is amazing
Carefully checked by our mechanics and ready to ride!
An almost new showpiece from 1983 - a unique chance for De Rosa fans.
