Description
Ugo De Rosa – widely known as "The Master" – is one of the best frame builders of all time. Not only did he supply many champions with his high-end bicycles (Gianni Motta, Eddy Merckx and Francesco Moser, just to name a few) but also manufactured masterpieces which strongly influenced the cycling industry.
The De Rosa Strada is undoubtedly an absolute top model of the 1970s.
Made of Columbus SL steel tubes (a light, butted and particularly stiff tubing), this model illustrates the typical attention to detail of Ugo De Rosa's work, with fine lugs and an austere design, with just a few elegant engravings and cutouts to alter the general impression. It is also built with De Rosa's signature Diamante chain stays.
Our De Rosa stems from the later 1970s and is equipped with the Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset with the rare 4-hole front derailleur produced for just one year. The rest continues on the very high note with Martano rims or 3ttt cockpit. Some wearing parts have been replaced with brand new high quality ones like the handmade Tufo tyres, chain, cables, bartape etc. to ensure, that you will be able to enjoy every moment of riding this stunning 70s De Rosa.
