Description

Eddy Merckx, Francesco Moser, Gianni Motta and Moreno Argentin are some of the countless champions which rode Ugo De Rosa frames to epic victories. And it is no coincidence that, in the 1974 Giro d'Italia, roughly 80% of all riders of the peloton chose Mr. De Rosa frames. Widely considered "The Master" Ugo De Rosa manufactured masterpieces which strongly influenced the cycling industry, just as the De Rosa Professional.

The Professional is one of the best bicycles which left the De Rosa factory in the 1980s. Manufactured with Columbus SL steel tubes, a very light and stiff tubing, the Professional really embodies the perfection and attention to details of the Milanese frame builder. Being a De Rosa from the 80s, the bike sports the characteristic Diamante chainstays which increase the stiffness of the rear end. The race number plate hanger futher indicates that the bike was likely used professionally.

This De Rosa Professional proudly sports a Team Sammontana colour scheme.

Given the Sammontana paintjob, it is only logical that the Cinelli Bars are wrapped in yellow Benotto Handlebar tape. In addition, the pedals sport original De Rosa Pedal Straps.

The Campagnolo Super Record groupset is able to deliver the strong performance one can expect from this 80s racing machine. The Groupset on this particular bike is fully pantographed with the De Rosa lettering and heart motive, making it even more desirable.

Simply beautiful, masterly manufactured in Italy. A must have in any serious collection.

Suitable for all Eroica events worldwide.
