Description
Ugo De Rosa is certainly one of the most influential frame builder of the 1970s and 1980s. He supplied many champions with his high-end bicycles like Gianni Motta, Eddy Merckx, Francesco Moser and many more.
Ugo also manufactured masterpieces which strongly influenced the cycling industry, just as the De Rosa Professional.
The Professional is one of the legendary racing bike models. Made of Columbus steel tubes, it was a perfect companion for many cyclists on their road to victory. Very distinctive are the beautifully shaped 'Diamante' chain stays, one of De Rosa's signature signs.
Our exemplar was made around 1983 and it comes in an iconic blue paintjob with stylish sports-era decals. It is the paint scheme of the cycling team Sammontana, famously sponsored by an ice cream company.
To rise the exclusivity of this already iconic frame, the rare and staggeringly costly Campagnolo 50th anniversary groupset was chosen.
There is really nothing on this magnificent bike to spoil the show. It even comes with a number holder. How pro-style is that?
Its paint is professionally refurbished and thus in great shape, the parts are in good condition too. The rare Campagnolo Omega rims are nothing short of excellent and then there is the De Rosa pantograped stem as well.
This bike has been carefully checked by our mechanics and is ready to ride!
A stunning blend of elegance, craftsmanship and a certain pro air - a great chance for De Rosa fans.
