Description

De Rosa Professional SLX classic bicycle from early 1980s. Everybody knows Ugo de Rosa. He is nothing less than the preeminent frame builder of his era. Not only did he supply some of the greatest champions in cycling with his bikes, he also helped some great brands with his advise like Eddy Merckx or F.Moser.
Here is one of his masterpieces, an early 1980s Professional model, built from Columbus SLX tubes - very likely the best tubing available at that time. The frame is painted in the typical De Rosa 'Azurro' colour and shows nice details, like the 'Diamante' chainstays, the cutout bottom bracket shell and pantographs.
Of course, this beauty cannot be equipped with anything less than the renowned Campagnolo Super Record Groupset!
The bike likely was owned by Franco Cribiori, the former professional cyclist who was manager of Team Brooklyn.
Frame number: 10
