Description
Ugo De Rosa is one of the greatest frame builders of all time. Not only did he supply many champions with his high-end bicycles - Gianni Motta, Eddy Merckx and Francesco Moser - but manufactured masterpieces which strongly influenced the cycling industry, as did his De Rosa SLX bikes.
His 1980s and 1990s top models from SLX tubing were some of the best road bikes of their time. The Columbus SLX steel tubes are a light and stiff butted tube-set with inner helical reinforcements and lighter chain stays. The SLX frames also marked a turning point in the history of De Rosa, creating the link between traditional and modern steel frame design.
This example , the De Rosa Signatura has an elegant austere decor and has been equipped with the fine Campagnolo parts - classic Super Record - thus creating a marriage of two icons. Other details include chromed stays and fork, De Rosa heart engravings on the fork crown and typical "Diamante chain-stays".
A unique example of Ugo De Rosa's legacy. A bicycle with a great appeal for classic steel bike enthusiasts and perfectly fit for L'Eroica
