Description
Ugo De Rosa certainly is one of the best frame builders of all time. Not only did he supply many champions with his high-end bicycles (Gianni Motta, Eddy Merckx and Francesco Moser, just to name a few) he also manufactured masterpieces which strongly influenced the cycling industry, just as the De Rosa Professional.
The Professional is without doubt one of the most legendary racing bike models of the 1970s and 1980s. Made of Columbus SL and later SLX steel tubes, it was a perfect companion for many cyclists on their road to victory. Very distinctive are the beautifully shaped 'Diamante' chain stays, one of De Rosa's signature signs. Our Bike is probably the rarest version, a De Rosa Specialissima del Cinquantenario.
It was made in 1983 as a tribute model for Campagnolo's anniversary. It received one of the rarest finishings you can find. It was explained to us that it has actually been chromed. The chrome was then brushed until an evenly satinized surface was achieved. And finally clear coating was applied to seal everything.
Our bike is equipped with one of the most collectible groupsets: Nothing less than a must have, the Campagnolo 50th anniversary group is installed - just the best of everything!
The bike is perfectly fit for a historic cycling event, weekend rides or an enormous improvement of one of your walls.
