Description
Ugo De Rosa is certainly one of the best frame builders of all time. Not only did he supply many champions with his high-end bicycles (Gianni Motta, Eddy Merckx and Francesco Moser, just to name a few).
He simply manufactured masterpieces and through them strongly influenced the cycling industry. In his dominant years of the 1970s, his top model was the De Rosa Strada Record the later versions of which are often also referred to as the De Rosa Super Prestige, later followed by the Professional and finally by the De Rosa Primato.
We are happy to be able to present one of these machines to you. This has been refurbished in elegant blue color, whic matches the clean design of the bike perfectly.
The De Rosa Primato certainly is one of the great steel bikes. With its light Columbus EL (=Extra Light) steel tubeset and classy Diamante chainstays it is fit for competitive racing. It is equipped with Shimano's top racing groupset of the time, the Dura-Ace 7400 with STI handlebar shifters, which changed how pro peloton changed chears for good. You can add the classy San Marco Regal Girardy saddle or Ambrosio Nemesis rims and this bike turns up to be a real gem.
