Description
Dürkopp was actually founded in the 19th century as a company for sewing machines.
But in 1885 they became the first German company to start a proper serial production of bicycles.
Especially from the 1920s on the Dürkopp racing bikes, both road and track, became renowned for their quality and capability. And during the 1930s some of the most famous German riders were victorious on their iconic blue steeds.
So we are happy to present a 1930s Dürkopp track bicycle with a fantastic patina.
Some of the parts have obviously been changed over the years, like the cockpit. But other parts like the typical Dürkopp bottom bracket are still original.
With its archaic yet sportive look and its impressive inch-pitch drivetrain, it would be a nice piece of decoration, or a fun ride on the planks of a velodrome.
