Description
In the late 1980s and early 1990s the Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra was one of the best road bike frames and therefore the choice of many professional teams. It dominated the peloton with its extremely well made triangle of light and rigid Columbus SLX tubes. The SLX was a "superbutted" tubeset from Cyclex steel, designed for professional use famous for its helical reinforcements on the end of the tubes.
Our Eddy Merckx dates back to the late 1980s and shows the beautiful paintjob of the Team ADR. A particularly popular Belgian équipe, which, despite being poorly funded, managed to secure some excellent results. In 1988 Team ADR rode Eddy Merckx bikes to victory in such races like Parix Roubaix or the Tour of Flanders
This Cosa Extra has been fitted with a complete Campagnolo Athena groupset, 3ttt cockpit, Mavic Mach2 rimsand Rolls saddle.
With it's size 64 this big bike will suite large riders on daily rides, weekend tours and 80s nostalgia.
