Description

Eddy Merckx road bikes dominated the Peloton in the last years of steel frame dominance, namely the late 1980s and early 1990s, simply because they were the superior bicycles. Designed with the highest echelons of road racers in mind, including its founder and namesake Eddy Merckx and crafted with the attention to detail and expertise of masters such as Ugo de Rosa, who assisted Merckx in his early years of production.
Our bright and rare bicycle is an example of this quality, a custom Corsa Extra bicycle from the late 1980s, we see rare details including fully chromed seat stays and a brazed number holder. The most distinctive feature though of this fine bicycle, is the bright and glossy paint, a rich pink coat on the Columbus SLX tubing. Paired with Campagnolo Shamal wheels which compliment the bold aesthetic perfectly, this bike is sure to turn heads and brighten up any vintage ride.
The bike has been fully equipped with a Campagnolo C-Record Groupset in good condition, with the classic of C-Record Cobalt brakes and a Cinelli criterium cockpit. This bicycle has been fully checked and is in great working condition. A bright addition to any enthusiasts collection.
