Description
In the second half of the 1980s and the early 1990s the Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra was one of the best road bike frames and therefore the choice of many professional teams. It dominated the peloton with its extremely well made triangle of light and rigid Columbus SLX tubes.
The SLX was a "superbutted" tubeset from Cyclex steel, designed for professional use and famous for its helical reinforcements on the ends of the tubes' inside walls.
Our Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra dates back to about 1990 and shows white and pink paintjob with elegant fading in the middle. The frame itself has a nice race-appeal to it. Just look at that neat little number holder.
This bike is as elegant as it is strong. Built up with Campagnolo's Chorus groupset our Corsa Extra is one well working, fast cat.
