Description
In the late 1980s and early 1990s the Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra was one of the best road bike frames and therefore the choice of many professional teams. It dominated the peloton with its extremely well made triangle of light and rigid Columbus SLX tubes. The SLX was a "superbutted" tubeset from Cyclex steel, designed for professional use famous for its helical reinforcements on the end of the tubes.
This Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra dates back to 1986 and illustrates the classic blue and white Team Panasonic paint scheme. With its slightly beefier than average seat stays this frameset was possibly built for strong riders. Equipped with a full Shimano Dura Ace groupset and an excellent Mavic wheelset.
The bike has been checked in our workshop and is ready to ride.
