Description
The MX-Leader was the most developed steel frame, Eddy Merckx developed in the 1990s. The strong Columbus Max tubes were fitted into evenly strong oversized lugs.
The frame is legendary for its power transfer, its comfort and safe handling characteristics.
Our MX-Leader is even more special:
First it is painted in a special pattern because it is an Eddy Merckx 20th anniversary model. Secondly the first owner was nobody else than John Lelangue, former manager of Team BMC and son of Eddy Merckx' own team manager Robert Lelangue!
Thus it is no surprise that the top class Shimano Dura Ace groupset on the bike is a particularly fine one: From the cranks, STI-shifters and seatpost you can tell that the parts were indeed from the extra line of components which were handed out to professional teams and are nowadays collectibles by themselves.
If you would like to ride a top notch steel frame or have a soft spot for professional cycling's history - this bike will cover both.
Spectacular!
