Eddy Merckx Professional 'ADR' 1980s

  • Sold Bike
Sold for over € 1000,00 to Indonesia on 3/9/21.

Description

The Eddy Merckx Professional was the top model of the early Eddy Merckx brand. It was 'the bike that lives up to its name' as the first advertisements of Eddy Merckx stated.
But when it was replaced by the model Corsa Extra, obviously it was tempting for some cyclists to modify their Professionals to mimic the new top notch model with its hot team paint schemes.
At least that might have been the reason why our bike here has received an internal cable routing, a sloping shoulder fork and a team ADR paintjob.

Our bike has been outfitted with great parts which are mainly based on the Chorus groupset. Other great components are the wheels with legendarily smooth Mavic hubs and Mavic Open 4CD Rims. On top the wheels are running on 25mm Gumwall tires for that extra comfortable feeling on rough surfaces

The bike has been checked in our workshop and is ready to go.

Iconic. Perfect for daily rides, weekend tours and 80s nostalgia.
