Eddy Merckx Professional SLX Team Faema.When Eddy Merckx, the most successful professional rider of all time, retired from racing, he set up his own frame manufacturing company. With guidance of the most skilled frame builders, especially Ugo De Rosa, The Eddy Merckx Cycles started to produce some high-quality frames.
The top of the line 'Professional' model represents the best of the 1980s. The frame is made of exquisite Columbus SLX tubes, which were designed for professional racing and carry outstanding strength and weight characteristics. This particular exemplar is painted in Team Faema colors, those which Eddy Merckx sported during his races between 1968 and 1970. The frame is also fully underchromed.
Apart from the frame, this bicycle sports some of the most sought after components. A Campagnolo C-Record groupset with its forward looking yet elegant design matches the Eddy Mercx frame perfectly.
