Description
The Eddy Merckx Professional was the top model of the 1980s Eddy Merckx catalogue. After retiring from competitions, the great Champion Eddy Merckx started setting up a bicycle manufacture. Since he wanted to build the best road bikes possible, he engaged simply the best frame builder to help him with designing the frames and teaching other frame builders: Ugo De Rosa.
1980s Eddy Merckx Professionals have appealed to collectors from all around the globe ever since. This one - serial number B2R E 3913 - dates back to 1981 and is in original condition. Cherry on the top the Reynolds 531 tubing, available only on request by the time.
As for the components, this Eddy Merckx Professional is equipped with an original Campagnolo Super Record groupset from 1981 with many refined pantographed parts.
The bike has been fully checked in our workshop by our mechanics: ready to ride.
