Description
The Eddy Merckx Professional was the top model of the early Eddy Merckx brand. It was 'the bike that lives up to its name'.
After retiring from competitions, the great Champion Eddy Merckx started setting up a bicycle manufacture. Since he wanted to build the best road bikes possible, he managed to engage one of the best frame builders of all time to help him with designing the frames and teaching other frame builders. And as it happened Ugo de Rosa - The Master set some of the first frames of the Eddy Merckx Professional and helped Eddy in the first business years.
Eddy Merckx Professionals from the 1980s appeal to collectors from all around the globe due to their perfection and their pedigree. This one - serial number A6R1467E - dates back to early 80s. The frame has been refurbished in deep dark orange color. As for the parts, there are no suprises - a colmplete campagnolo Super Record gruppo found it's way onto this bicycle. Or maybe one intriguing fact - the Eddy Merckx pantographed parts!
Great chance for all Eddy Merckx fans and collectors to own a legendary model with pantographed parts.
