Description
After retiring from competition, the great Champion Eddy Merckx started setting up a bicycle manufacture. Since he wanted to build the best road bikes possible, he managed to engage one of the best frame builders of all time to help him with designing the frames and teaching other frame builders. And as it happened Ugo de Rosa - The Master designed some of the first frames of the Eddy Merckx line and helped Eddy in the first business years.
One of the models was Strada, made of Columbus Cromor tubing. This tubing was very popular back then especially for sprinters, since it showed greater stability to slightly lighter SLX or SL tubes.
It is equipped with Shimano 600 Ultegra parts, notoriously known for their reliability and great functionality. The wheelset with FIR clincher rims in mint condition or 3ttt Evol stem are also worth mentioning.
The previous owner, a talented rider, has built the bike using NOS frame several years ago. Since he didn't have much time to ride it, the all original paintjob is nicely preserved and it has been altogether well taken care of.
This well made bike has a sweet ride and won't let you down on epic rides or on daily basis.
