Eddy Merckx Strada O.S. 20th Anniversary Bicycle

Most cycling brands, even the famous ones, had some bread-and-butter bikes in their model line.
As far as racing bikes are concerned, this meant substantially cheaper tubing and very simple parts. Bikes for the masses sold well under a great name.
Eddy Merckx' model line is taking a very different approach in the 1990s: The more affordable models were of such a high quality that you could have won professional races on them. They were not made from the fantastic new materials like aluminium or titanium but of excellent steel tubing.

Eddy Merckx Strada OS is such a bike. The reliable, oversized Columbus Brain tubing forms a frame which is strong and forgiving at the same time. In the front is mounted a classic steel chromed fork with an elegant and iconic Meckx fork crown. But our Strada O.S. is even more special: it painted in a special 20th anniversary pattern!

As for the equipment, Italian tubing got some nice Italian parts like Campagnolo Athena and Veloce. What's more, it has the original Ambrosio Balance red anodized rims, Eddy Merckx Selle Italia saddle and off course the splendid combination of Cinelli AX stem and Cinelli Touch bars.

This bike is very well preserved and it is obvious, that it has not many kilometers under it's belt. If you want a high performing steel racer with pedigree, this Eddy Merckx is for you.
