Description
Ad van Empel started the Empella brand around 25 years ago, and while he didn't ride cyclocross himself, he always relished watching races. He noticed, however, that he could help riders improve their speed off-road by constructing bicycles with a better geometry and design. Hence, Empella cyclocross bicycles are some of the finest off-road machines around.
The turning point for Empella came in 1994, with the first World CX Champion to ride an Empella bike; Gretenius Gommers. Empella bikes became incredibly sought after van Empel began sponsoring teams in 1995.
This model was spawned out of van Empel's vision for creating the finest cyclocross bikes. Using a unique split seat tube, raised bottom bracket geometry and Campagnolo Super Record parts, this is the perfect off-road machine. It is more than capable of handling the toughest gravel of L'Eroica.
