Expresswerke Berufsfahrer Classic Road Bike 1950s

The Expresswerke Neumarkt AG Nürnberg was one of a hole bunch of German companies which specialiesed in the production of motorized and un-motorized two-wheeled vehicles.
From 1884 to 1959 they produced quality bicycles. The pinnacle of their product range was the Express Modell Berufsfahrer which roughly translates to Express professional rider's model. It one of those bike which we present to you here.
The frame was built from quality steel tubes, the slim and light rear stays were specifically crimped to maintain enough stiffness. The traditional star shaped paint scheme was kept even in the late 1950s with a typical box-striping and the iconic serpent sword logo of Express.
As for the parts we find a reliable set formed around Campagnolo hubs, Weinmann brakes and a Simplex shifting. Components which are good enough to be ridden immediately!
This bike is a piece of the German cycling heritage and considerably rare.
