Description
Ugo De Rosa is certainly one of the best frame builders of all time. In his workshop in Cusano Milanino (Milan, Italy), he manufactured masterpieces which strongly influenced the cycling industry in the 1970s and 1980s. In the 1974 Giro d'Italia, an estimated 80% of all riders in the peloton rode on bikes which were built by De Rosa.
Just as Francesco Moser, one of the most winning riders ever, who chose De Rosa frames in his professional career, both with Benotto and F. Moser branded bikes, and when he started producing his own bikes. In fact, around 1977, De Rosa helped him to transform the small workshop of his brother Aldo into a high end frame manufacture and trained other frame builders. The early framsets can be identified by a heart shaped cutout on the bottom bracket shell and brake bridge, which was De Rosa’s signature sign.
This Francesco Moser bicycle is exactly one of early, rare and superb De Rosa build. Made of light and sturdy Columbus SL tubes, this bike dates back to 1977 and is in impeccable condition, with the original paintwork and decals. Regarding the components, this F.Moser is equipped with an original Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset from 1977.
Completely serviced in our workshop, the bike is ready to ride.
An iconic piece of cycling history. For true connoisseurs. The right choice to enrich any serious collection or to participate in Eroica events.
