F. Moser Leader AX 90s Vintage Racing Bike

From the factory to the starting line and vice-versa. This is what always distinguished the brand established by Francesco Moser. The know-how learnt in professional competitions helped the former Italian cyclist and his brothers to produce some of the finest racing bicycles of their time.

The Leader AX is a very sturdy, top class racing frame. The fully fillet brazed structure is made of double butted oversized Oria tubes and has a classic geometry with the twist of a prolonged seat tube which requires a special internally clamped seat post.

The frameset is stiffer than TIG welded or lugged ones, yet very flexible as you would expect from a steel racing frame. The Leader AX became very famous with Gianni Bugno in 1990 and 1991, when the Leader AX led him to the victory at the Italian Championships and the World Championships.

This particular F.Moser Leader AX arrived at Steel Vintage Bikes in impeccable, original condition and masterly illustrates a very typical 90s racing galore. The bike is furthermore fitted with top-class Campagnolo Chorus parts and has been fully inspected by our mechanics.
