Description
In the early 1980s some brands started experimenting new ways of manufacturing to improve the overall aerodynamic performance of steel frames. Just as the famous Italian factory of Francesco Moser properly did with the F.Moser Profil.
Launched in 1981, the F.Moser Profil features a high-end frameset made of Columbus Air tubes, the best aero-tubing available at that time. The aero-shape of tubes and fork blades and the aerodynamic position of the shifters on the down-tube are clear indicators that this frame was designed for serious racing.
According to F.Moser catalog, this model dates back between 1981 and 1983. The bicycle arrived at Steel Vintage Bikes in a such good condition that we kept it as authentic as it was, thus equipped with a correct period Shimano Dura Ace AX groupset, aerodynamic stem and bar. Iconic and original.
